This revision to the lettering proposal takes into account recent input. Here’s the file: elevations_v11_outlined.pdf
Just so you know how Clint feels about the truck…
Clint and I spent some time earlier today mocking up the checker board based on design rev v10 (previous design). If you’d like to see it, swing by the station.
1262 will be headed to the radio shop tomorrow (Thursday) evening for radio installation so get there quick!
Here’s a very quick and dirty overlay of the v11 design on the driver’s side of the door

Post your comments.

I think the white band in back needs a lil sumthin. Namely the patch/crest on one side (under dial 911) and a Star of Life (like the one on Stumpy’s arm!) on the other.

i think i may have to go with chris here, as hard as it is going to be…but i think the back white stripe could use something like the star of life and the patch idea. it just looks a little awkward with only a white stripe. otherwise, it looks great.

I like the checker board without the white stripe..and I also think we should move the south orange logo on the driver’s side box to the left.

Sorry to say it again, but whatever is below the fuel door will deteriorate fast. On the county trucks, the rubber over the wheel wells catches the diesel drips and is buckling and coming off. On 1261, we all know how bad it looks. A small blank space there wouldn’t be so bad.

Can you apply a metal drip plate below the fuel door? We have those on our new ambulances at aircare, seems to be working OK
